Training

It is mandatory for all care workers at Active Care and Support Limited to undertake and complete the four days induction course prior to commencing any duties. This involves a commitment and participation to the full four days training.


Upon recruitment the new employees receive a copy of the relevant trainings available within the requirement.


Our induction training covers areas such as Roles of Health and Social Care Worker, Personal Development, Communication skills, Equality and Inclusion, Principles for implementing duty of care, Principles of safeguarding in Health and Social Care, Person centred support and Health and Safety in a adult social care setting. Shadowing with experiences care worker is provided to all newly employed care workers prior to start of work.


As each service user is unique with specific needs, we keep in mind our service users needs and offer specific training where required.


We offer specific trainings for specific conditions. For example: Dementia Awareness, Spinal care, End of life, Stroke, Learning Disability Awareness, Adult and Child Protection Awareness.


Other trainings can be offered when identified as part of our care workers personal development plan (PDP).
